#RiGEEKulouslyGood Year End Party: a glimmer of hope

Indeed, that #RiGEEKulouslyGood Year End Party was something worth remembering! Everyone was pumped and hyped, especially when DJ Tom Taus came late that night and rocked the hell out of the SMX Convention Center. What moved me wasn’t really the fun and excitement from all the crazy activities that happened. I was touched when I saw how our Executives were so close to the TaskUs Scholars.

I remember when mum was still working, I didn’t really mind her boss and her co-workers with whatever they’re doing in the office. All I knew that time was that Tita Cris, her boss, and all of her colleagues were generous enough to give us gifts and prepare something to their kids every Christmas. It was something they’ve done yearly, which made me look forward to every Christmas all because of their generous efforts. I didn’t really appreciate it in a bigger level but was grateful with all the gifts and thoughts they’re sending us to always strive to excel at school and be the best in life.
Last night, I witnessed a glimmer of hope and realized that what I felt every Christmas many moons ago was the very same thing I felt when I watched the TaskUs Scholars perform on stage and felt how close they were with Jaspar, our cool President, and Bryce, our sleek CEO.

Now that I’m wiser and older, I get to see first hand how these little things will impact a child’s life. To these kids, this may mean nothing, but when they grow they’ll eventually realize that it wasn’t just a scholarship that we’re giving at TaskUs.

We are giving hope.

The hope that we give does not end from financially supporting our future’s hope. We are instilling the value of exercising our emotional intelligence so we can give more by doing less. I don’t personally know anyone from there aside from Cath’s and Jean’s children, but seeing them up stage, trying their best to give back to TaskUs by performing some Christmas carol is something I’d like to highlight from last night.

We are making a difference. It wasn’t something that most of us would actually remember from last night, but I am sure that we are changing someone’s life by providing these opportunities to give back to our community. I really hope that next year we’ll be able to increase the number of scholars from 113 this 2016.

Let’s continue to #BeBetter and be #RidiculouslyGood. 2017 is knocking in, I can’t wait to see what’s in store for everyone! ✨

  1. I am so touched, Kimmy! Thank you for sharing the sentiments of each TU Scholar’s parent. We are truly grateful for all the blessings we get from God through our TaskUs family. 🙂
