The past weeks have been tough for me and the least I could do is to refrain from punishing myself more. Today, I found time to rest and escape from my reality. The long drive was worth it.

We’ve tried almost every cuisine out there except #Greek. So for our celebration I made sure to book a table at @cymarestaurants at Shangri-la Plaza Mall. It’s a great way to cap our long day as we’ve been from north to east (in Rodriguez, Rizal, to be exact!) and back to the city within the day. Oh, look - #socialdistancing being observed! I’m really thankful that @shangrilaplazaofficial strictly enforces its own measures to keep everything safe and yet accessible to everyone.

Last week was extremely hectic at work and I thought of doing something more relaxing this weekend, and thank goodness we did!

Even though I was part of @dlsu’s official student newspaper org circa 2013 (shout out to Ang Pahayagang Plaridel!) I didn’t really have the chance to be part of the Photos (Retrato) team simply because I wasn’t sure if I have the eye for it. I didn’t have formal training and everything was really self-taught, many thanks to the university’s amazing library that used to be behind SJ Hall before transferring to the Henry Sy Sr. Hall. But I sure liked taking photos!

Before this #pandemic hit us, if I had a choice I wouldn’t be in a crowded place as much as possible, except for moments when I have to work and cover events. But really, don’t you all miss being carefree, drinking till we drop, and dancing with everyone else? I do!
